Quickly make detailed changes to a sequence with the sequence editing tools.

Open the sequence editor
Insert base pairs
Replace base pairs

 

Open the sequence editor

 


 

First, you want to find the biomodule or construct you would like to edit then view it in the sequence editor.

Insert Bases


 

Insert bases between two points of a sequence with the insert bases tool.

Step 1: Click between bases

Click between two bases along your sequence where you would like to add a sequence.

Step 2: Insert Bases

You can now insert bases. You have three options to do so; type them, upload a file or browse to add a biomodule from your collection.

Shortcut: You can open the insert bases modal quickly by selecting the point of your sequence you would like to add bases to, and pressing A,C,G or T on your keywboard.

 

 

Replace bases


 

You can replace stretches of a sequence with the replace bases tool. 

 

Step 1: Select a stretch of sequence

In order to access the replace bases tool, we must select the stretch of sequence we wish to replace.

Step 2: Replace bases

Find the replace bases tool by either right clicking along the sequence or from the toolbar above the sequence viewer.

  • Choose replace bases.

  • Either type the bases to insert or upload a file containing your sequence.
